Approved, Finally!

We are finally there, we are finally approved! DCF finally gave up on our fingerprints the beginning of March. We were informed that they would just do a background check, and not worry about the fingerprints anymore. They said it might take till the end of the month to get approved. We waited out the month. For me it seemed to go very slowly. This past Monday, April 4th, we called our Social worker. She said she would be back in the office on Wednesday, and she would try to get some answers and see if my background check had gone through. I received an email on Wednesday saying that the background check had gone through. She told me that "I have been cleared for any crimes against humanity". I felt silly, but, as I read the email after work, I could help but cry. We were finally approved! She put our home study into the database on Wednesday, and she plans on presenting us to the matching committee next week! This will (hopefully) put us on the minds of several social workers. Hopefully they'll think of us when they get new babies/young chidren who need a home. God is SO good!
